We collect information you provide to us, such as your name, email address, account and organization details, support messages, and project configuration. We collect billing and subscription information needed to administer your plan; payment card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by KoedoDB. We also collect service and security information, including IP address, browser and device information, pages or Console actions, timestamps, authentication events, diagnostic logs, and resource-usage data.
If you join the beta waitlist, we collect your email address, the time you sent it, and the page the form was on. We do not store your IP address or your browser’s user agent with it. We use the address only to tell you when the beta opens, and we do not sell or share it. Every message we send you will have a link to leave the list; you can also write to beta@koedodb.com and we will remove it. We keep it until the beta opens and for twelve months after, or until you leave the list. The list is stored in a database at Cloudflare, and the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out automated sign-ups; Turnstile may set a cookie or similar data to do that.
We use information to provide, secure, maintain, and improve KoedoDB; create and administer accounts; process subscriptions; communicate about the service; investigate abuse or incidents; comply with law; and enforce our terms. We do not use your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data that you or your users place in a KoedoDB project is Customer Data. You control that data and are responsible for giving any notices and obtaining any permissions required for it. We process Customer Data only to provide, secure, support, and maintain the service, or as required by law. We do not access Customer Data except when necessary for those purposes or at your direction.
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the service, such as cloud and network providers, payment processors, email and support providers, and backup-storage providers. They may use information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights, safety, or security, to enforce our agreements, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information.
These are the service providers that may handle your information on our behalf, and what each is for. We keep this list up to date on this page. Where we describe a provider by its kind instead of its name, we tell you the name if you ask.
We use essential cookies and similar technologies needed to operate the website, Console, and internal administrative tools, such as maintaining a session, preventing abuse, and protecting security. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics on our marketing website (not the Console or your Projects) to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns; this is a cookieless, privacy-first analytics service that does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track individuals across sites. With your consent, we additionally use Google Analytics on our marketing website for more detailed traffic and usage insights; Google may set cookies and process information such as your IP address and browsing behavior on our site as our service provider for this purpose. Google Analytics only runs after you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time from cookie preferences. We do not use advertising cookies and do not use analytics for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we introduce additional analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system is completely secure; you should maintain independent copies of critical data. See our Security page for the current platform approach.
You may update certain account information in the Console. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact legal@koedodb.com. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where permitted or required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
We and our service providers may process information in Japan, the United States, and other countries where we or they operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those where you live. We take steps designed to protect information as described in this policy when it is transferred.
We may update this policy as our service evolves. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the Console or by email when appropriate.
